I visited Charing Surgery yesterday for a Covid vaccination and I want it to be known that I was incredibly impressed with the efficient organisation of the whole process. From the men in the car park, to the men on the doors, to the ladies at the desk, the girls ushering people around, the girls in the rooms, everyone was pleasant and smiley, caring, particularly with frail patients, it went just like clockwork. A lady was pointed out to me as Practice Manager who I was told organised the whole thing, and if this is the case, she deserves a medal, it was brilliant. She obviously is very talented in this field. But a pat on the back to all the staff who worked so hard all day, this was sterling work, and I for one applaud you. Mrs. Rosemary Phipps. Tenterden.

I couldn't book a phone call with a Doctor because the line was busy for 1/2 hour. When I got through was told no slots left so use online system to ask for a call next day, luckily I have a computer. This was a little involved but I managed and I got a call back early the next day. Dr Naganather was extremely good and needed to see me at the surgery. At the appointment he was extremely thorough and pleasant and explained the treatment he prescribed. I would like to thank him for his kind treatment.

The only issue that concerns me is I have a computer but there are people who don't. My concern is for those who live alone ,maybe elderly or vulnerable and have no support to access online booking for appointments. These people should not be told to just keep ringing everyday or directed to online so I would hope a system could be put in place to assist them.

My first time at Charing Surgery and I was in impressed by the way they handled the covid-19 situation. I was meet at the entrance door and was asked my name and have I an appointment, which I had, and the young lady at the door confirmed that I had and who with. She took my temperature and I sanitized my hands.She gave me a face visor to wear then directed me to the waiting room down the corridor. The seating area was clean and the seats were a safe distant apart. Didn't have long to wait for my appointment which was on time. Well done all at Charing Surgery.

Just a quick note about the Pharmacy's Prescription service - I can order my repeat medication using the Patient Access app and I get a text come through when it is ready for collection, which is usually within 3-5 days. Really convenient and works really well. Thank you.
